The Passion of the Mel Gibson

What with ol' Crazy Mel Gibson in the news for his rampant anti-semitism, I figured I should post a little topical humor. Here is a video re-imagining The Passion, if it were done by other directors. It features examples of the Oliver Stone Passion (the funniest one) as well as examples by Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino, and Walt Disney.

Tremendously Bad Queer Television

Some TV station (or conference or something, I wasn't really paying attention to the details) has come up with a whole series of fake pitches for queer television shows. They are purposefully bad, and hilariously so. Here is one below, and you can see the rest of them here. [The guy does a startlingly good Judi Dench impression...]

Apple Crash Commercial

I don't have a mac, so I don't know if this anti-Apple commercial is actually accurate, although my guess is that it's overstated. That being said, accurate and funny are too entirely separate things. "Jack-Russel-Fucking-Terrier" indeed. What type of computer do you have?

Current Events HumorTube: Lebanon and Israel

I was recently in Israel and visited the graveyard where one of the soldiers who died at Entebbe is buried. Here is the Daily Show's Jon Stewart humorously comparing that raid to today's Israeli incursions into Lebanon:

Windward Shorts: Cubicle War

Although this video isn't the most hilarious thing ever, it does get major points for having a number of inspirational prank ideas that I can't wait to try out. The tie one is especially creative, and I'm sad that no one at my job wears a tie. Hooray for inane prankery!

Cat Massage

This commercial is so funny that it's starting to make the rounds, but here it is if you missed out. I'm feeling a little tense in my shoulders, so I call dibs on next in line.

Happy Fireworks Day

Some characters from Halo with some valuable lessons about how to be safe on the 4th of July. This video is as funny as putting fireworks in your pants. Actually, it's more funny.

Jim Norton - The True Meaning of the Fourth of July

I believe this could be more accurately called, "Absolutely Not the True Meaning of the Fourth of July" but I decided to name this post after the title of the YouTube video. It's a discussion of American Independence premised on the fact that all the founding fathers were gay. With each other. A taste, "Fireworks are merely an abstract expression of those guys shooting their loads all over each other's faces." Watch this video, and then get off the internets so you can barbecue meat and shoot off illegal fireworks.

Hooray for Family Time

It's summer break, which means college kids (like myself) get to return home and spend time with our families. I believe this commercial gives an accurate assesment of what that is like.

Sinful Sunday: World Cup Cruelty

Another Sunday, another opportunity to post something slightly less tasteful than normal. Granted, I'm not quite sure if it's possible to be less tasteful than skeletons having sex, but I can try.

As a dog owner, I find this commercial more creepy than funny or clever, but since the people who designed it were trying to be funny, here it is:

Craig Ferguson Letter to Star Jones

Everyone has been piling on Star Jones, so here's a mini-sketch from Ferguson's late night show. I think I'll try to do a better job of staying on top of current events and posting funny videos to go along with them.

Dear Star Jones,
What happened to you? You used to be America's rolly-poly sweetheart...
